Green Day released a new song, “Here Comes the Shock,” and an accompanying video, featuring Punk Rock Aerobics, on Saturday (February 20) as part of the National Hockey League’s outdoor games in Lake Tahoe.
The visual takes viewers through an exercise that features moves like the skank, Iggy’s punch, air guitar, the circle jog and more.
“We got the numbers/ Gonna rumble in the street/ We’re screaming bloody murder/ We’re gonna take it to the grave,” Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong sings.
The song was originally scheduled to debut on Saturday afternoon during the clash between the Colorado Avalanche and the Las Vegas Golden Knights but actually landed past midnight as the match was postponed due to poor ice conditions.
“Here Comes the Shock” is Green Day’s first new music since the release of Father of All …………, which came out in 2020.
