So Long Summer (were you even here?)

I’ll keep this short and sweet. MOST of the great events we have in the Northwoods were cancelled this year. The days are getting shorter for sure. School is back in session (by 2020 standards). Yes it finally happened. I spotted my first tree turning red on Highway 47! The Deer in my back yard have their winter coats already. Yes, ALREADY!! So where was our summer??? 2020 can’t end soon enough. I do love autumn and not even Covid19 is going to take away the Northwoods trees turning color. The crisp air. Those weekends (few) that are filled with sun and a hi of 65 degrees. Maybe since we didn’t have much to celebrate this past summer the fall will make up for it? I even look forward to raking leaves!!! SOMETHING positive!!! So long summer. You tried I guess. I’m thinking even YOU were confused. Bring on the pumpkin spice!
