Might As Well Get Smoked Up!

OK..I REFUSE to mention the obvious of what we’re all going thru. SO..let’s talk something different…something positive…smoking. NO…not that!!!! I’m talking smoking meats on my brand new Green Mountain Grill Davey Crocket smoker!!! My wonderful Daughters got it for me as a Fathers Day / Birthday gift in July and WOW! It doesn’t happen often because “Dad” is very smart but they got me on this one. Totally surprised!! I do like cooking on the grill but this takes it to a whole new level! Not only that but these things are “smart” now. NO…I’m not getting paid for an endorsement! This is a smaller unit that you can use at home or take camping or tailgating. It’s portable and can run off your car battery too!! Not only THAT but it’s WiFi controlled! I have an app on my phone and tablet. It completely controls it. The fuel is wood pellets and are fed automatically in to the smoker. This thing is SO cool. I have been looking at the electric ones for a few years actually but leave it to my Daughters to get me the BEST there is!!! Tina’s boyfriend has one of the big ones and is damn near pro status for smoking. My first run was totally virginal. I wasn’t about to buy a $60 piece of meat to experiment with SO I made smoked Texas Burgers! They were smoky, juicy and I guess I’ll say it……..perfect!!!!! Don’t worry, I won’t make my grill jealous and will still use that too but it’s going to have to share time now with this incredible machine. Thanks once again to Nikki,Tina and Kyle! They got one over on me and I’m SO glad they did! One of the coolest gifts and most useful gifts I’ve had and they give me many very cool things! Getting ready for that $60 brisket soon.
