Summer…what happened?

Summer…what happened?

Wait a minute! It’s mid July already?!?! In just a couple weeks we will start the countdown as to summer winding down. NO! Has summer even begun? It seems like the snow just melted a couple weeks ago. Thank goodness for hot, humid weekends! I think part of this summer seeming so odd is of course the Pandemic and all it has screwed up! No events makes it seem like no summer! It’s FLYING by and I gotta admit that I’ve got a few things I want to do yet before the snow flies!! Although I will admit that nothing beats a 60 degree day with lots of sunshine and all the trees blaze orange and yellow. I do love the fall season but have no problem holding off on it’s arrival so we can still savor a little summertime in Wisconsin’s great Northwoods. What have you done to enjoy your summer since we have no events this year? DAMN YOU Corona!!!

Yes it finally happened. I spotted my first tree turning red on Highway 47! The Deer in my back yard…read more »

Road Construction

Road Construction

I’m sure many of you in the Northwoods have noticed the repaving of Highway 47 from Rhinelander to the North. I’m amazed at how far they have gotten in just a few weeks. LOTS of trucks and lots of machinery and of course lots of delays. They are already up to Newbold in the northbound…read more »
