The New Normal?

The New Normal?

I don’t know about you but I’m really tired of this term already! Yes, of course I realize things aren’t the same but WHAT IS “the new normal”. I realize everybody is itching to get out and about and continue with life the way it was a few months ago but is that possible? I’ve actually talked to people that think this entire thing is a conspiracy? I don’t think I go quite that far. They’ve “opened up” Wisconsin but I have to admit that I will still be extra cautious and keep washing my hands, social distance and wear a mask for the time being. There ARE people out there that think we were all given the green light to continue life as it was before all this. I’m not quite that brave. Fact is there have been people that have passed away from this so my “yellow” caution light is still on. Bottom line is everybody needs to do what they think is best for you, your family and friends and even the people in the stores. Be courteous and at the very least practice social distancing. I see so many people without masks and quite frankly that makes me a little nervous. Hopefully, there will come a day when they say they have the “magic pill” or shot (I HATE shots) that will fix all this and things will get back to “the old normal”. When we will see that remains to be seen. Meantime you can count on my to continue to use caution in every way I have for the past few months. Wishing you ALL the best in health!

Well, in the last few weeks we’ve heard this word more than once in our part of the world. First, one of my favorite events of all time, The Hodag Country Festival in Rhinelander has made the tough decision to postpone till next year. People may not realize what an undertaking it is for the…read more »

Always Remember

Always Remember

I think it’s been said a million times or so but Memorial Day is identified with travel, parties, cookouts and the beginning of summer. I know we’ve heard it many times before but the sacrifices made by many are so worth repeating the real reason. Memorial Day is about remembering those that made the ultimate…read more »
