Now I’m pissed!

Damn this Corona Virus! An event that I have attended for many years has called it for 2020. The EAA Airventure in Oshkosh has canceled this years event. This event is something I look forward to the day after it ends each year. Hundreds of thousands of people converge to Oshkosh each year to view many planes, jets and experimental aircraft. People from all over the world enjoy this event where there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Plenty of room and the daily air shows are up in the air for the most part so yes…you just look UP! Of course I feel they made the right decision to cancel the event because there are a lot of people that you rub elbows with so it’s an obvious decision. I’m pissed but I really feel bad not only for me but really feel bad for the folks that run the event and the people in Wisconsin’s Valley area who must base a good part of their business year on Airventure! I’m guessing this is the first time that event has ever been canceled. To have to cancel at this point means a lot of work and effort that I’m sure had been done to this point is all for naught. Sad news for all the folks that make that an annual trek, to all the pilots that may volunteer their time and most of all for the folks at the EAA. So for now, I guess we look ahead to 2021 in Oshkosh.
