OK…I’ll keep this short. YES…I’m gettin old(er) and just don’t get it anymore. I remember the days when the night of the Grammy’s was like the SUPER BOWL in my house. ALL the snacks you could think of. Some years there would be a house full of friends. Not so much anymore. The “this made me scratch my head” of the night for me was seeing “Sticks” Larkin from Live PD in the crowd. REALLY?? How the hell does that guy get seats up toward the front? I did record it so I may revisit sometime this week so I can fast forward through. I just have a funny feeling I will get through the entire show in just a few short minutes. I’ve heard some people gripe about politicizing from the award winners but quite honestly they did that years ago too! To be fair I get it. When I was younger I thought the Grammy’s were so cool and of course there were older folks that would stress their displeasure the next day to me. They didn’t understand that guy from the Rolling Stones that looked drunk. Or, “what the hell is a Boy George”. Yes, I get it…as we get older things change. I fess up to it. I’ll let you know (honestly) what I thought of the entire show later in the week after I watch the DVR’d version in its (fast forwarded) entirety.
