Merry (cough cough) Christmas

Merry (cough cough) Christmas

I hope that Christmas was a joyous time with your family and friends. I look forward to Christmas every year as my 2 Daughters and I celebrate with different activities and the love of being together for a few days. This year fpr me??? Not so good. The ONLY saving grace was knowing they were in the house! Oh, I know, poor poor Duff. Whatever that nasty BUG out there is seemed to want to plant itself right in to me! WOW!!!! I’ve never been so sick@! It started Sunday afternoon. I felt the tickle in my throat and thought “oh S**T, this isn’t going to happen now?? Moving to Monday morning about 2am. My first of MANY “trips” to the other room!!!! Finally crawled out of bed about 7am Monday and was hard to stand, hard to even see. My entire body ached and I stood and shook. Back to bed. Just hearing my girls out in the rest of the house laughing and having fun without me killed me. ALL DAY MONDAY was torture. The flu, sinus infection, 101.8 fever. I was ready to beg them to come in and tell me this was just a dream. Tuesday morning, waking up every 15 minutes. Looked at the clock and it was 11pm. Fell asleep and woke up again thinking it was maybe 5am and it was 11:08pm!!!! WHAT?!?!??! Finally at about 2:30 I woke up and thought the girls threw a bucket of water on me. I was SOAKED! Finally the fever broke!!!! I did it…and without antibiotics! My best medicine was fighting this off knowing my girls were in the house. The splitting headache from the sinus infection is the worst on top of being nauseous. Was able to sit in the recliner Christmas morning at 9 and at least spend the day there. Fever gone but still weak. Yes…certainly not my favorite Christmas. My even be my worst but through all that my girls were there for me. Helping me with many things. You got the love of family and you’re the richest man in the world! I know I am! Happy New Year!!

Brats and Cheese Curds

Brats and Cheese Curds

With this week having National Cheese Curd day in it I was wondering a few things.  First…National?  Do they celebrate cheese curds in other states like we do in Wisconsin?  Also, it seems another Wisconsin tradition, the bratwurst is expanding.  You hear more and more mention of those delicious tube steaks cropping up all over…read more »

Thank You!

Thank You!

I’ve been doing this for so many years now.  I won’t share how many because that will date me BUT I can tell you that it’s been a few.  In all those years I’ve met MANY wonderful people.  Listeners can be very fickle.  Especially back in my Top40 years.  You play one song and the…read more »

Congrats…We’re getting old(er)

So with so many of our Classic Rock stars passing away do you find yourself starting to think a little more about it than usual?  I remember years ago not even thinking about it.  Somehow it has a slight impact as of late.  With the passing of Eddie Money I actually deleted the Series DVR…read more »

Dan Rather interviews ROCK STARS?

Dan Rather interviews ROCK STARS?

It’s called The Big Interview with Dan Rather.  NEVER would I have thought these would be interesting.  Nothing against Dan Rather but I just never saw him as a rock fan nor someone who has been in the trenches of Vietnam that would conduct interviews with rock stars.  I gotta tell you….I was wrong.  These…read more »
